Alissa Autschbach
Born and raised in a small German village, Alissa Autschbach is a writer & director living in London. Her films often explore complex characters with dark psyches. Alissa started writing scripts when she was 12. She studied Scriptwriting for Film and Television at Bournemouth University from 2015-2018 and finished as best of her year. In 2021 she completed her MA in Filmmaking from the London Film School, where she directed and produced short films. Alissa wrote the stop-motion film Him & Her (2018) which was BAFTA student shortlisted, premiered at Cannes Film Festival and won awards internationally. She wrote and directed the thriller TSUNAMI (2021) which screened in competition at Aesthetica Film Festival 2021 (UK). She further produced the Italian short LONTANO (2021) which competed at Energa Camerimage 2021 (Poland). Her latest short Little Fantasies (2022) won Best Actress at Manchester Film Festival 2023 and screened at the Academy Award and BAFTA qualifying Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival.
