On a rainy night, a ship docks at the pier of a rocky lighthouse island, and a man disembarks, carrying a crate with his belongings. The ship promptly departs, disappearing into the turbulent sea after dropping off the man. Carrying his belongings, the man proceeds to the cabin where he will stay and settles in. His task is to maintain and ensure the smooth operation of the lighthouse on the island. For a certain period, he continues his work in a regular routine without interruption. While maintaining this routine, he also experiences some dreams. One day, he dreams of spending time with his spouse at a beautiful breakfast table, and another day, he sees his wife pregnant. During a maintenance session on the lighthouse tower one day, he suddenly recalls an incident where his child had a traffic accident, triggered by the cries of seagulls. After this memory, he refrains from going up to the lighthouse again, opting instead to go to the shore to watch the sea and then return to his cabin. On one occasion, he observes whales swimming near the shore. On another day, as he goes to the shore to watch the sea, he sees his child in the water and moves towards them, eventually getting lost in the sea.
