Cuc, a retired nurse along with her husband and children go to a small town by the sea to visit their future family-in-law, as her daughter is getting married. The joyful journey quickly becomes tenser when the family-in-law wants them to pay for the wedding because the daughter is 4 months pregnant. What seems to be a perfect marriage relationship between Cuc and her husband, instantly becomes fragile as they start having disagreements about the wedding chip-in portion for their daughter. With the hidden family secrets, the irrational love, and the unresolved conflict between personal happiness and shared happiness, what will Cuc do to in order save the familys honor as well as their daughter's happiness?

Phuong Thanh Quan
Quan Phuong Thanh is a Vietnamese female filmmaker. Thanh received a full scholarship to attend The Russian State University of Cinematography (VGIK). Her short films, which she wrote and directed by herself, told stories about woman and Vietnamese families nowadays to emphasize on their precariousness, vulnerability, adversity, and belief. In her own words, Thanh said "I make films to tell stories about my friends, my family and my own, which we don't normally talk about."
